“I see a lot of screenplays and movies that are derivative. That’s like trying to be second in a race. Lightening in a bottle is when you touch on something real. It can be a small observation, but you need to have something to say. If you feel like you have nothing to say, then ask yourself ‘Why do I hurt?’ or ‘Why can’t I find love?’”

The key to any good pitch is first of all, a great story. But you need to know how to convey that great story to the executive who is listening to it. You may have the Greatest Story Ever Told, but if you can’t sell someone on it, no one will get a chance to see it.
The Expo recommends specialist classes, all taking place before the Pitch Fest begins! You must register for the Expo to get access to the classes.
